New website launched. It is standards compliant and is designed to be friendly to the visually impaired.

The new village signs are being erected this week and very handsome they look too. This one is at the Marehill end of the village. It shows Lower Steet with the Millenium clock, St Mary's Church and Swan Bridge. Please click it for a detailed view. The others are on the A29 at Swan Bridge and just North of Codmore Hill, and on Stopham Road.

February 19th 2004 - Broadband

March 26th 2004 - Housing Needs Survey
You should shortly receive a questionnaire from The Rural Housing Trust asking for information about the housing needs of yourself and your family. This was commissioned by the Parish Council to inform decisions about the need for additional housing in Pulborough.

The Parish Council is keen to secure affordable housing for the children of residents but also to protect green field sites from unnecessary development. We have receive proposals from developers for the site at Riverside Concrete, which we support in principle, and also for a site at Oddstones. Your views could influence future decisions. Please take a few minutes to complete and return the questionnaire.

March 26th 2004 - Toilets under Threat
Horsham District Council has indicated that it will not be economic to continue the contract for the public toilets in the main car park and at Swan Bridge. The Parish Council has expressed concern about the loss of this vital amenity but has so far been unable to suggest alternatives. Please let us know if you have any ideas.

March 26th 2004 - 100 Bus Route
The route from Pulborough to Henfield has been extended and buses now run from Pulborough to Burgess Hill. On Sundays, there are diversions to local tourist attractions including Pulborough Brooks, Parham House, St Mary's Bramber, Steyning Leisure Centre, Ditchling and Amberley Museum.

April 5th 2004 - Website Updated
Council and committee meeting minutes from 2003 are now available on the 2003 Meetings and 2004 Meetings pages.

May 7th 2004 - Annual Parish Meeting of May 6th 2004
The well attended meeting accepted the previous year's minutes and was presented with the Chairman's and Responsible Financial Officer's reports together with the provisional accounts for the year.

There followed a lively discussion on planning matters and a report on the Pulborough Partnership from Les Ampstead.
