Welcome to Pulborough Parish Council

Pulborough is a vibrant village in the heart of West Sussex, nestled beneath the South Downs and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Home to around 5,000 residents, it combines a rich historical heritage with a thriving modern community, making it an attractive place to live, work and visit.

The village's history stretches back thousands of years, with evidence of prehistoric settlement and an important connection to the Roman road, Stane Street, which linked London and Chichester. Recorded in the Domesday Book in 1086, Pulborough retains many reminders of its past, including St Mary's Church and the historic Stopham Bridge.

Today, Pulborough enjoys excellent transport links, with direct rail services to London and convenient access to Gatwick Airport. Its strong community spirit, excellent local facilities and outstanding natural surroundings make it a desirable place for families, businesses, retirees and visitors alike.

Pulborough Parish Council is committed to supporting and enhancing the quality of life within the parish. Working in partnership with residents, community groups and local organisations, we strive to ensure that Pulborough remains a welcoming, sustainable and prosperous community for current and future generations.
