Pulborough Parish Council is delighted to announce that it has secured £1.5 million in Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding from Horsham District Council to support the delivery of a new Sports and Community Building for the village.

This significant investment will help bring forward an exciting new facility that will serve as a central hub for sport, recreation and community activities, providing modern, accessible spaces for residents, local clubs and community groups.

The funding recognises the growing demand for high-quality community facilities and will play a vital role in ensuring Pulborough has the infrastructure needed to support both current and future generations.

Councillor Sharon Curd, Pulborough Parish Council Chair said:

"We are absolutely delighted to have secured this funding. The new Sports and Community Building has been a long-term aspiration for the Parish Council and many members of the community. This investment gives us the opportunity to create a welcoming, flexible and sustainable facility that will benefit residents for decades to come."

Pulborough Parish Council is grateful to Horsham District Council for its continued support towards the development of this project. This funding award reflects the strong and positive working relationship between Pulborough Parish Council and Horsham District Council. We are extremely grateful for the confidence Horsham District Council has shown in our vision for the village and for its commitment to investing in the community in Pulborough. By working together, we are helping to deliver facilities that will have a lasting benefit for Pulborough residents.

The new building is intended to become a focal point for village life, offering improved facilities for local sports clubs while also creating valuable space for community events, meetings, activities and social gatherings.

With funding now secured, the project can move into its next phase, including detailed design work, planning approvals and the development of construction timelines.

This award marks a major milestone in Pulborough Parish Council's commitment to enhancing local facilities, supporting active lifestyles and strengthening community connections. The Parish Council looks forward to working closely with Horsham District Council and other partners as the project progresses towards delivery.

Further updates will be shared with residents as the project develops.
