The Community Pantry located on the Pulborough Recreation Ground was launched on 9th January 2024 and the Parish Council agreed that space at the back of the village sports and social club could be utilised for its operation. The financial arrangements separate the funding and income from the main Parish Council budget therefore having no impact on the precept.
The Parish Council has received a proposal to establish a Charity (or Charitable Incorporated Organisation) and to move the management and responsibility of the Pantry from Pulborough PC.
At the meeting of the Pulborough Parish Council held on 4th March 2025, Members agreed, in principle, to consider moving the management and responsibility of the Pantry away from the Parish Council. At the meeting, Members noted that the Pantry has certain assets, and that the Parish Council manage funds on their behalf. To effect any transfer, both the assets and funds would need to be transferred to a properly constituted body.

Your expression of interest should represent an organisation or other incorporated body. Applications will not be accepted from individuals. A formal evaluation process will be published once details have been received from interested parties.
